Before becoming a licensed attorney in the US, Reggie has been through the immigration process to obtain her legal status from a non-immigrant to a green card-holder. Thinking that the immigration procedure was only to fill forms, she then decided to apply for citizenship on her own, and it was denied. Thus, what seemed to be simple, was not simple after all. Reggie was naive in not hiring an immigration attorney.
